Crafts Today

17/06/2007 - 16:19:27

Pictured exchanging new product ideas at the opening session of the Crafts Today programme are Padraig Larkin, a basket-maker from Cloghan, Co.Offaly, and Louise McLean, willow sculptress, from Portrush. The pair are just two of 32 craft producers participating on the programme, which is funded by eight Leader + groups from the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. *

A specialised training and mentoring programme, which is managed by i2, Crafts Today is designed specifically to increase sales and marketing skills in participating companies and to assist them in breaking into new markets throughout Ireland and beyond.

Delivered through a combination of training sessions and one to one mentoring, Crafts Today is focused on securing direct sales opportunities for businesses. In addition to structured activities, participants are also given the opportunity to meet and network with other cross-border crafts companies.
